Inexpensive downpipe solution

Repurposing to enable rain water saving / harvesting

Inspired by something I saw on Twitter that used a bottle, small pipe and adapter to connect a gutter to pool pipes, I came up with this last night to keep my fish alive. It's a 1 litre Energade concentrate bottle. All I did was cut off the bottom and it was a perfect fit for both the gutter and pool pipes! Next I'm going to look at a DIY basic filter that I can add in the bottle section to remove leaves and other bigger items.
