Painting flowbins black to prevent algae

Algae uses photosynthesis to reproduce. So if your tank does not allow light in, algae cannot grow.  More info on how to eliminate algae in rainwater tanks can be found here:

Ashley Jacobs Leave it black. When it is clear or clean you will get algae forming. I paint mine.  I used Build It black roof sealant paint
