One big problem I have with my solar geyser is, because we are not drawing enough hot water from it during the drought, the geyser overheats!
I fixed the problem very simply using shadow net. I experimented a bit and found that 40% shadow-net works perfect - they come 3m wide, so I bought 2m length and doubled the excess.
To help it survive the south-easter. I sandwiched the edge between two strips of wood (first stapled it to the one and then screw them together). This then gets cable-tied to the frame.
On a hot day, the geyser end up around 60-65 degrees C which is ideal.
